Hello Summer!  We have been having the most beautiful weather and it looks like it will last through the Memorial Day weekend.  If you are traveling this weekend, drive safely and if you are in our neck of the woods  stop by to visit us!

You can now visit us on Facebook!  Just log into your Facebook account (or create one if you don’t have one) and search for Village Fabrics & Crafts.  Once you have our page, click on the “like” button so you can keep up to date with all that is going on.

A great item for summer travel with the kids is a neck pillow.  This pattern has been designed for 2 -12 year olds and there are three different designs to choose from.  This little kitty is made from Minkee and is sooo very soft.

There are so many nice butterfly prints this year and we have featured one in this table runner.  This pattern can be very versatile since its focal print features  2 – 15″ squares.  It will make great use of a large print that you have been saving and it is easy enough that you will enjoy making more than one!  The picture doesn’t do the justice to the butterflies you should see it in person.

If you are a fan of landscape quilting than this next picture will fill your mind with many ideas.  I could see this done in many different themes and with added embellishments like fall leaves.  You cant see it in the picture but there are sparkly Angelina fibers on the moon and there are hot fix crystals in the sky.

If you are looking for a light jacket for summer that you can wear over a tank or t-shirt than you are going to love this!  This jacket pattern comes in multiple sizes and 3/4 sleeve and long sleeve.  It also has two body lengths.  Mine is made from a very lovely batik and is the perfect weight for keeping a light breeze off your arms.

Till next time  – Happy Crafting!

Lisa 🙂
